You can never go wrong with combo of chocolate and coconut. Especially when there is thick layer of sweet coconut in between.

These bars are perfect chocolate snack that contains only few ingredients and is very easy to make!

Servings : 9 Ingredients: Base 2 cups of almond meal(ground almonds) 8 medjool dates 1 tbsp of cacao powder Coconut layer 3 cups of shredded coconut 11/2 cup of coconut cream ( you can also use solid bit of canned coconut milk ) 1/3 cup of maple syrup Top layer 150 g melted dark chocolate

Method: 1. Process ingredients for base layer in food processor until well combined. 2. Either use non stick square or round tin and layer a tin with parchment paper ( I have used round cake tin) 3. Press the the sticky dough evenly in the tin evenly 4. In bowl combine shredded coconut and coconut cream then add maple syrup and mix well. 5. Spread coconut layer on top of the base evenly and pop in freezer for 15min 6. Melt dark chocolate in microwave or on stove 7. Pour chocolate evenly on top coconut layer and pop back in freezer for +6 hours or in fridge overnight 8. Cut up in equal squares and enjoy ! :)
