Chocolatey and gooey caramel flavour in healthy simple slices full of wholesome ingredients. These really are amazing snack for those loving chocolate and caramel. I am one of them and I can tell you there is no simpler way to satisfy your cravings.

Servings - 9 slices


Base layer

1 cup of oat flour

1/2 cup of almond flour

1/2 cup of walnuts

2 tbsp of cacao powder

6 medjool dates

1 tbsp of coconut oil

1 tsp of cinnamon

Caramel layer

14-15 medjool dates

1 tbsp of coconut oil

1/3 cup of walnuts

1/2 cup of water ( the one you soak your dates in)

1/2 tsp of cinnamon

Top Layer - 1 cup of melted dark chocolate of your choice


1.Start by preparing base layer, add oat flour, almond flour , walnut and cacao powder in food processor. Process until mixed then add rest of the ingredients for base layer. You should get consistency of well mixed sticky dough mixture. 2. Layer middle sized tin of your choice with baking paper and layer base layer evenly. Pop in freezer while you make caramel layer

3. Soak dates for caramel layer in hot water for around 10-15 min.

4. Transfer to high speed blender along with 1/2 cup of soaked water, coconut oil, walnuts and cinnamon and blend until smooth and creamy

5. Pour caramel layer on top of base layer and spread out evenly. Pop back in freezer for around 30mins. Melt dark chocolate and when ready pour over caramel layer evenly. Freeze for around 3-5 hours.

6. Slice into equal pieces and enjoy !
